Community Driven Development: Appathons

We believe that the best apps are designed with the people who use them. That's why we held Appathons- competitions to design content in the MI MOM App- in two Michigan communities.

  • Teams designed an introduction to the MI MOM App to explain:

    1. Why the app was designed and

    2. How it might help pregnant and postpartum women.

  • The winning teams were awarded a cash prize. Participants also learned programming, design, and health communication skills that they may use in the future.
